“Three Minute Thesis” Competition – SAAEI 2026
The SAAEI 2026 Organizing Committee, in collaboration with IEEE Women in Engineering (WiE), is organizing a new edition of the “Three Minute Thesis” competition, an initiative aimed at PhD students and researchers who obtained their PhD degree within the last year, with the goal of promoting scientific outreach and increasing the visibility of research in automation, industrial electronics and instrumentation.
The competition aims to strengthen scientific communication skills and bring doctoral research closer to both the general public and the SAAEI research community.
The “Three Minute Thesis” competition will take place during the SAAEI 2026 Open Day on July 9, from 15:30 to 17:00.

Call for Papers
Participation
- PhD students working in areas related to automation, industrial electronics and instrumentation are eligible to participate.
- Participants will have a maximum of 3 minutes to deliver their presentation.
- Participants registered for SAAEI will have access to all conference activities.
Participants attending only the competition session will have access exclusively to activities related to this event.
IEEE WiE may provide partial travel support in specific cases.
